In the Marina Alta region in Alicante people have traditionally planted olive trees, almond trees and citrus trees next to vines. The land is divided into many small terraces and plots where agriculture is manual labour. The vineyards are often hidden between trees, bushes and pine forests. The great biodiversity here cannot compete with mono cultural agriculture but the quality of the products certainly can. Mediterranean grape varieties like Moscatel, Giró and Monastrell have perfect growing conditions here.
For many years an international crowd has populated the old villages in this region, for its natural beauty, the Mediterranean climate and the living culture. The combination of rural agriculture and village life, endless summers and the vibrant Mediterranean coast make this our favourite place on earth.
